Amelia Marsden

Amelia is currently the Kiwifruit Manager at Willisbrook Orchards in Brightwater. While she now plays a key role in the horticulture industry, her background was in agriculture—specifically dairy farming.

Her journey into horticulture began at Willisbrook, where she started as an apple supervisor. She then broadened her industry experience by working at Ballance Agri-Nutrients before returning to Willisbrook in October last year to take on the role of Kiwifruit Manager.

Amelia has entered the Young Grower competition to challenge herself, step outside her comfort zone, and identify areas where she can grow her knowledge and skills. One of her proudest achievements is completing a Bachelor of Agriculture at Lincoln University.

Outside of her professional life, Amelia enjoys embroidery and aerial arts, combining creativity and physicality in her downtime.
