Laura Torpey

Laura grew up in Awhitu with a strong interest in farming, combining hands-on work, science, and community. Now a Lab Manager and Field Supervisor at Punchbowl, she supports orchard decision making through monitoring and data insights. Previously, Laura worked in A.S. Wilcox’s Broccolini programme. Laura's proudest achievement is founding Little Labs, a charity delivering free STEM education to rural schools. She is entering Young Grower to challenge herself, build leadership skills, and connect with others. Outside work, Laura enjoy festivals, hunting, fishing, and 
time with family and friends.
