Luke Tamblyn

Luke grew up on a cherry orchard and sheep farm in Roxburgh, Central Otago, where he developed a passion for horticulture from an early age. With seven seasons at Cherri Global under his belt, Luke has gained extensive hands-on experience in pruning, grafting, planting, and quality control across cherries, apricots, plums, and greengages. He has also worked at Clutha Packing Centre and Tamblyn Limited, contributing across all areas of orchard and packhouse operations. Luke holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Otago and is currently completing a Diploma in Horticulture at Lincoln University. Passionate about the future of New Zealand’s fruit industry, he aspires to become a horticultural advisor, helping orchards grow smarter and more sustainably.
